Our Company Background

The founders of Classic Seminars have been training project managers and other professionals for over a decade, both in South Africa and abroad. Currently some 500 delegates pass through our training programmes each year.

We have trained people from a range of industries, from engineering through to information technology. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our delegates shows that we are meeting and exceeding their expectations at each course.

Our company has enjoyed great success and wide influence in the project management arena, and we will continue to grow into the future.

Our training philosophy

Our project management and Microsoft Project courses are conducted in an intensive but relaxed atmosphere. Our trainers understand that they are not there simply to provide information, but to coach, inspire and motivate.

We understand that different people have different learning styles. Accordingly we strive to be flexible in our teaching methods. On every course there is time for personal, one-to-one assistance, as well as group sessions. People appreciate the personal attention.

On all our courses we blend well-researched project management theory with practical exercises and case studies, giving the delegates a valuable and enjoyable learning experience. Delegates can walk out of a course and immediately apply the concepts learnt on their own projects.

Accredition

Classic Seminars holds the following accreditations:

• Accredited training provider with the Project Management Institute of South Africa (PMSA).



• Accredited with the Engineering Council (ECSA) for CPD credits: one CPD credit per day of training.



• Accredited with the Association of Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) for CPD credits: 16 CPD credits per day of training.



• The director, Dr A Holden, is a SETA accredited facilitator, and holds the internationally recognised Project Management Professional certification (PMP).

Course structure

Many project managers have been running projects for years, but need some project management training to formalise their methods. Others, at the start of their project management careers, need formal training to prepare them for the job.

Our training meets both of these requirements. It centers around an intensive, 3-day course, Project management for You. This interactive course equips project managers with the skills they need to successfully run their projects in a structured manner.

To equip our clients with computer scheduling skills, we have focused our toolset training on the market leader, Microsoft Project.

Project management with Microsoft Project is our flagship seminar. It uniquely integrate Microsoft Project training with project management concepts, teaching you to plan and control your projects more effectively.

Advanced Microsoft Project is a 2 day course for experienced users who want to explore the more advanced features of this powerful software.
